I start out that way and as the day progresses I dress lighter. I do snow clearing in stages, don’t feel like dropping dead in the cold.

“It’s hard to see to the side and it’s hard to move (with all of this on). Could you also find and put the shovel in my hands?”

And this, Ladies and Gentlemen, is why I live in the South. We only get snow about twice a decade, and if the School system hits a hint of a snow flake in the air, school is called off for the rest of the week.

It took a couple of years as a transplant to the northern tier to acclimate but then I realized that the trade off was too good. In exchange for putting on a coat and starting a snowthrower a few times a year I get clean air, a minute chance of skin cancer, no hurricanes, no floods, no tornadoes, low traffic count, nothing venomous in the woods, great hiking trails for low density population, and a few other benefits.

A couple of times over the years we thought of going back to a metro area. Each time we picked a city for a week’s vacation and when we returned we both agreed; “nope, we’re good”.

I thought he was going to say he had to go potty. A kid would definitely say that as soon as he/she was all set to go outside in the winter. There is just some relationship between snow suits and the bladder.
