If I’m muted on a Zoom meeting, I sometimes get a notification on my screen if I make noise — to remind me that I’m muted. Can smelling my breath (or worse, transmitting said smell) be far behind? Kind of a distressing thought; one of the fun aspects of working from home is that I can eat sardines for lunch without getting complaints from any of my students or colleagues.
