Wondered if you got the whole story in the end. Growing there were bits and pieces about my mom and problems with the army. Thing is I served honorable 4 years signal corp. My Mom always had some remarks about me not staying in. I didn’t know how to be a soldier and on. Well, years later I found the whole story via my sister. My mom ran away from how joined the Army. Got in trouble several times and went awol twice. Heck, she didn’t make it out of basic. If I had known the details. She and I would have had WORDS. And Dad would be calling saying I need to apologize even though I was right.
