This is just ‘Enlightened Self-interest’ on their parts. The wives get to sleep in and wake rested, and therefore in a better frame of mind to face the day- and the menfolk got to vegetate happily while enjoying their mayhem. Sounds like a win-win to me…

when rerunning old comics, the least that we should expect is that they would be synchronized with the season/holiday they depict. unacceptable!!!
