The day CommieBook went down was the best thing to ever happen. I had tears of joy.

I started to notice in my 30s. But it wasn’t as obvious to others then.

Most days, I spend an hour, maybe two on FB. When I tried to log on, Monday afternoon (Pacific time), it was barely there: Got to the login screen, but no further. So I asked

… and ended up finding out some of what happened. Spouse is also a FaceBrick user, so I told her and got ragged on for being addicted. Eh. Worked in the yard, did some programming. Checked again: Still down. Told Spouse and got RE-ragged on. Next time I looked, it was back and actually seemed a little peppier than usual — we live where the internet itself is slower than payday coming, so it’s hard to be sure.

Net effect in our house: Negligible. But I bet the folks who depend on FB for their business (like FB itself) were in deep angst!
