Some folks heard the warnings,

Got their anti-COVID shots,

Felt less fear to mingle

Among crowds in the bars and shops.

But some denied the danger, made a mess,

And contributed to the current

Tennessee State of Mindlessness

I’ve heard the pundits talk

Their line on cable via Fox News,

Giving their thoughtless, uninformed medical views.

But I’m feeling sad and in distress

‘Gainst those who lobotomized

Good Tennessee folks to this State of Mindlessness.

It was so easy turning on the TV then

To hear Hannity and Carlson sternly sneer

At the CDC and Fauci and the rest —

And assure the Pandemic was not to fear!

It comes down to this reality:

The COVID spread due to purposed ignorance,

But we can stop its dire advance —

Use your heads more than a nest

For a red MAGA hat,

Make Tennessee a State of Mindfulness!

If by quarantine you mean “where they respect your constitutional freedoms” then yeah and Florida and texas too! Thank God!!Who was it that said “if the government can take away your freedoms, you dont have freedom you have permissions” or something like that
