Just dropping by to say howdy, I got to get going to Newport early so I can get back for Grange this afternoon, so I can’t really sit down and say much of anything.

Well, David flew home yesterday. All too short a visit, but great seeing him. He had fun making stacks of split logs. And I even taught him two dishes to make.
I think I’ll just veg out today, after all the activity of the last week.
I went on a hunt yesterday. I’ve been trying to find a certain brand of pizza sauce and nobody seems to carry it anymore. Online I found one store not too far away and ordered it for pickup along with enough groceries to make up their minimum. (Of course, they are the highest priced market around, so I got a lot less for the money than at Winco or Wal Mart.) I wanted as much as they had, so I ordered 6 bottles and ended up with 2. The other thing I have been searching for is Henry Weinhard root beer. What I found is that the two high-priced chains had a sale last week on the stuff and everyone is sold out. (I did find one store that says they have it in stock. In Boise, Idaho.) Oh well, hopefully they will restock soon. It’s worth the wait.
I watched a segment about Jeff Goldblum’s career yesterday afternoon. They showed a bit from his movie “The Fly”. Just the little bit they showed made me very glad I’ve never seen it. It creeped me out! But then so does the final scene in the Vinny Price version. Horror movies are just not my cup of tea I guess.
Then we watched an interview between David Frost and Julie Andrews made just about the time she had wrapped filming on “Victor/Victoria”. They talked about the movie and even showed part of one of the musical numbers, but they never said the name of either the character or the movie. Weird. She’s quite a lady.
I finally got an email from my California friend. It’s been at least 6 months. I am glad to know that she and her husband are okay, but saddened that she took one of my emails to her the wrong way. She and I disagree about the vaccine and I guess our disagreement went too far. I hope we can fix it.
Not much happening today. At least not anything that is planned. We always manage to fill the day somehow. With the forecast standing at 79 (71 at the moment 9AM) something outdoors would be nice.
This seems to be a movie watching day. Mine was an eclectic selection:. “Ghost Ship”, “Predator” and now the Hallmark movie “Boyfriends of Christmas Past”. Ok, so it rained all day and I had absolutely no where to go. :-D
Our high today was 64 and the rain is suppose to continue for the next few days.
