Yes, remember. But, how? Already people conflate the Iraq disaster with the 9/1/2001 tragedy. I suspect in the future there will be a lot of “lumping” of events from this era. The Alamo, the “USS Maine” and Pearl Harbor (getting closer) are remembered quite differently now than in the immediate generations after the event.
