We bombed them for 20 years, turn about is fair play. Right wingers never consider that there will be repercussions toward their own aggressive viciousness.
There IS something to be said for the idea that the actual mission was to prevent ISIS and their (ahem) spiritual kin from launching another 9-11 attack. But it’s at best duplicating the effort at our various borders, and at worst it’s not just putting our soldiers in harms way, but also making the locals hate us more than they ever did (a high but possible bar).
In ten years, the general consensus will be that we needed to get out of there, we should have done it a long time ago, it was going to be a mess whenever we did it, and it was a good thing we finally had someone who would do it and accept the blame.
Imagine spending trillions — TRILLIONS — of dollars, and 20 years of sending our troops into harm’s way, only to end up right back where we started. “Mission accomplished” indeed….

The question America needs to answer: when will a man stop fighting for his family, his culture, and his country?

Good graphic, Lalo. We kicked them out once kinda, sorta. They have broken into a million pieces and will show up everywhere.

They never left. Car bombings were so regular they just didn’t make the news anymore.

We have learned an invaluable lesson here, one that will last for generations, or until Republicans again control the White House.

Wrong terrorist. The ones in our own country that are WASPs are the main terrorists here Lazlo.
