I am not always a fan of Breen, but this is a strong, graphic image that works well and is an excellent design. While I may not like all his messages or politics, I can still appreciate the strength and art of this work.
Note that the military ventures in which US soldiers die need have no intelligible relation to how free we Americans are or may yet become; they must always be credited as dying in that cause. They are human sacrifices to a great bronze idol, assumed without evidence to be both necessary and effective in securing the blessings of liberty to the rest of us. “Freedom isn’t Free,” doncha know.
