Antenna hair! Not sure of the history of antenna hair in anime/comics. But, in anime antenna hair is usually used to tell us something about the character – usually “foolish or playfulness” or “awkward because of innocence”. When a “tough/gruff” or kind of seemingly not so nice character has hair antenna – it usually means they aren’t bad to the bone. They have a heart/feelings in there somewhere. :) Anime has it’s own visual language.
