A group of states, all red states, btw, have very considerately made themselves into a giant petri dish, a big lab experiment, so that the rest of us can see what happens when ignorance combines with misinformation and politics.
Latest reports from the ‘front lines’ (the hospitals) indicates that the vast majority of people sickening and having to be placed on ventilators are, in fact, the unvaccinated.
It’s also reported that front-line workers (nurses, doctors, and emergency personnel) are becoming increasingly irritated at the blatant stupidity extent in any person’s decision to not get vaccinated which leads to them filling a bed that could be better utilized by someone who is not actively trying to commit suicide.
The numbers of people filling the I.C.U.s in the red states are, by-and-large those who had access to covid-19 vaccinations, but chose not to get the shot at the time it was offered, and NOW we have emergency room beds being occupied with adults AND children needing I.C.U. beds which are already full with people on ventilators because they refused to get the shot…
Sad, but, at the same time, poetic justice of a sort.
I hope that they save a few spaces in ICU’s for people injured in accidents, people just out of surgery, etc. Put the anti-vaccers next to the morgue, it’s cool there.
This is the Chutzpah of the Year award! The governor of Tex-ass didn’t want to have his people get vaccinated. Yet, he wants help from DC provide vents for his people who are in ICU’s from Covid!!
