Civics education HAS been a flop. But then the whole thing about across the board testing has taken so much class time… with so VERY little good result, that you can pretty much explain every K-12 school problem by mentioning the testing and the vagaries of funding.

Yeah, lot of kids are ignorant about civics, politics, history, etc. So were a lot of my classmates when I was in school decades ago.

When I graduated in 1965, if you didn’t pass civics, you didn’t graduate. Now we have people like Same2Ubuddy who don’t understand what fascism is.
