Yep. Mankind is sorta like the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs, only even more so, if not quite as fast.
Dinosaurs are actually in the Bible (starting at Job 40:15). Kinda makes the asteroid hypothesis seem silly.
Several meteors have been photographed going through our atmosphere lately, perhaps our solar system is heading into a meteor field.
The Stegosaurs were extinct long before the late Cretaceous, but this cartoon is clever and makes its point well.
