So the city councils, mayors, and politicians of the blue states that are defunding their police are republicans?

Republicans are voting against additional funding for law enforcement.

Democrats and independents are pointing that out.

Portraying the Republican as a “Law and Order” type is simply a lie these days.

Democratic leaders in cities have reallocated police funding to address issues like homelessness, mental health calls, and social work calls; allowing police to focus on violent crime. Meanwhile Republican leaders want large budgets to militarize the police and pass laws saying permits aren’t required for civilians to conceal carry.
