I spent about 7 seconds Googling and didn’t see any known reason for why it collapsed yet. Anyone have some of their own ideas?

It is very sad, and scary for those who await notification about their relatives and friends. But I’m more impressed with the (county commissioner?) who said approximately “Buildings don’t just fall down, and we are going to find out WHY it happened and WHO is responsible.”

Apparently there was some work being done on the roof?

We don’t need no stinking regulations, the free market will right the wrongs.

Tragedy….I heard the building inspector was on the roof the day before it collapsed. So sad

Maybe DeSantis should have paid attention to building codes rather than allowing kids time to pray. Now they get to do both.

Either it was CNN or INSIDE EDITION that reported that IVANKA and JARED were living in a LUXURY CONDO just up the road from where this one collapsed. Wondered where they were staying while their MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR MANSION was being built. May have to relocate now. Move over DONALD, they’ve come home to ROOST!

They are concentrating in finding the living – and possibly the dead. I’m sure someone(s) will be searching for reasons and explanations. Not what those who are waiting to hear care to hear right now.
