That speech by Harris was deplorable. Central American parents put their children on the road out of desperation; not convenience. I think she showed very poor judgment and a complete lack of empathy when she said, “don’t come.” She is suppose to be fixing things in the triangle countries so people will want to stay. She is being a whole lot too cute and not representing US very well. Beto in 2024.
We owe some countries like Guatemala a penance for the shabby way they have been treated by our country. However, we can’t be their PARADISE-found. At least Biden/Harris, unlike their predecessors, don’t take kids from their parents and stick them in cages. Solving the immigration problem at the southern border is going to take time, money, and ingenuity.
