Oklahoma, red state, the buckle of the bible belt, where the 98% white legislature quickly passed a bill aimed directly at K-12 public school teachers(they really hate teachers unions and public education) on the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre.(whites men destroying a very successful black street in Tulsa) simply because they do not want to face what their ancestors did. And added to that the truth is finally coming out, not only about the Trail of tears, but what also happened in the 1920s, when whites killed Indians for their property because that was where the oil was. The murders that happened in the early 1900s are now being made into a movie. A whole lot of money grubbing, outright theft and murder, by whites because the Indian tribes were sitting on wealth and whites at that time were were killing and stealing from the Indians because they could get away with it.
It is really scary how George Orwell’s prescient novel of our dystopian future is coming true, bit-by-bit, point-by-point. All this is interspersed with snippets from Terry Gilliam’s dystopian movie, “Brazil”.
The republican party is in its death throes – just like its immediate predecessor and parent, the Whig Party, in the 1850s.
One of the surest indications of its demise was the fact that the party at its latest convocation, announced that they wouldn’t have a political “platform”, but would, rather, form its desires around whatever their leader felt comfortable with.
At that point, they ceased being a cohesive political party and turned into a “cult of personality” party.
