Within400 metres, I have access to a trail that takes me through farmland, swamp and forest. There’s plenty of wildlife and bird song, several dog walkers, fellow hikers, joggers and cyclists. It’s all very congenial, healthy and soul restoring. No need for treadmill guided tours and no carbon footprint
