It’s my flag. I have no other. Neither will I mistake the cloth of the flag for what it represents. I will fly it inverted if needs be and as far as burning it, GOOD MEN AND WOMEN DIED defending my right to do so. Note, I wouldn’t burn a flag because I’m having a bad day. There are other outlets. But I will not make a fetish of it. The day a law passes criminalizing our right I will surely burn one; to signify the death of the United States of America I love.
To consider a country where burning its flag will get you killed in the act, look no farther than the People’s Republic of China.
