My distance vision is pretty poor, yet I only bother to wear glasses when I’m driving or need to be able to read something from a distance (subtitles, for example). I went into a used book store with my glasses in my pocket, and donned them to be able to read the titles on the upper shelves. I was quite perturbed that the titles still were not perfectly clear – after all, I had gotten a new prescription only a few weeks earlier. It was only after walking around the store for about 10 minutes that I realized that I had put my glasses on upside-down.
