Well Fred, Mr Dear is still a little boy at heart so he just might continue going to see the trains until the novelty wears off for him. It might take ages more visits.
If there’s room in the loft he could build his own up there. There’s a fellow on you-tube who shows how to repair and tune up the equipment and he has a layout all over the floor of his loft. (loft=attic)
