Years ago, when most deodorants were in a spray can, there was a cartoon of a man with his right arm straight out. The caption was he got his wife’s hair spray can and his deodorant can mixed up!!

Add me to the confused list. Artists very commonly use hairspray as a varnish on paintings, as it’s primarily polyurethane.
