Ahhhhh. ..yes …..the old premature victory celebration…. hasn’t that been the cause of many defeats?.. the old “i’ll just dance around waving my arms and screaming ‘i won, I won’ why wait to celebrate?” Hmmm??? …might want to wait, just until we really do achieve that “herd immunity”….
Feuds, fibs and finger-pointing: Trump officials say coronavirus response was worse than known
Several top doctors in the Trump administration offered their most pointed and direct criticism of the government response to coronavirus last year, with one of them arguing that hundreds of thousands of covid-19 deaths could have been prevented.
“People really believed in the White House that testing was driving cases, rather than testing was a way for us to stop cases,” said Deborah Birx, who served as White House coronavirus coordinator. Birx also said that most of the virus-related deaths in the United States after the first 100,000 in the spring surge could have been prevented with a more robust response. “That’s what bothers me every day,” she said.
Wisconsin Supreme Court invalidates Gov. Evers mask mandate. Florida and Texas want everything open and Florida has been found to be lying about the number of cases (but you only hear about Cuomo). Republicans are saying that a Covid vaccine verification (passport) is a horrible violation of rights even though other vaccines are mandated for school children, Marjorie Taylor Greene is calling it “the mark of the beast” (is there going to be a 666 on the form?).
Sarah Palin contracted Covid and describes “bizarre symptoms”, now even she says people should wear masks. Granted this is typical Republican behavior, they only are in favor of something for the people if it has affected them personally. Against gay marriage until their child announces that they’re gay, Meghan McCain is now in favor of maternity leave because she had a baby and the list goes on.

THANK YOU, M. Anderson for not using the “spike the football on the 1 yard line” metaphor. It is the spring track and field season, after all !!
