Because he’s looking forward to washing you brats out of his hair and he wants to know if he needs to brace for another. He may prefer a change in careers to facing another one of you.

Mr Johnson, was my older sisters guidance counselor. In our school system the councilor followed the students from freshman to senior years. He was then my counselor, followed by my younger brother. He joked, (so he said) that when my brother was done, so was he. 12 years of Miller kids was enough. (there were no more miller kids but he still retired!)

Their parents were killed in a car accident when they were very young. Grandma took them in to raise.
