Cagney’s not getting any younger. That’s for sure.

That’s the biggest reason I won’t own a dog, I don’t have to make that decision.

Our Boston had an onset of severe glaucoma back in the day, requiring emergency surgery, and years of multiple eyedrops and vet visits. We were fortunate to be able to pay for her treatments, and still don’t regret it. A dog joins you for life. Having said that, we’re definitely getting pet insurance next time.

Listen to the dog. When you adopted him he became your responsibility. Besides, your son loves him

some decisions aren’t so easy to make. i found euthanasia is the hardest but so grateful it is an option for our furry family members; unlike for people.

I recall that Cagney also has a pacemaker. Yes, dogs can get expensive as they age. No one should get a dog (or any pet or children) unless they are fully committed to their care. I am sure most pet owners know that and it is good that some people realize that they cannot commit and do not get a pet.
