I am 70 and I still remember my Mom not being happy with me skating on her hardwood floors. :)

Impressive, Red…what about Mom?

You better skate faster Red, and right out the door!

I’d like to see what kind of move(s) produced the last part of Red’s routine. (The track marks look “impossible”.)

Mum’s passion for waxing is waning……

Wanted actors who can sing, dance and roller skate for a revival of Starlight Express.

Always knew what to expect from boys, didn’t ever know about daughter.

Yikes! And in those days the wheels were steel. No urethane back then. My friends and I were restricted to skating outside or, when the weather was bad, down in the basement. We weren’t even allowed to clip the skates onto our shoes inside the house (except in the basement).

Of COURSE it’s on the newly waxed floor…!!! :D

We oldies remember the metal clip-on skates—we had to tighten the metal clips on the front sides of our shoes with a skate key. Sometimes while skating the clips would loosen up and a skate would disengage from our shoe . . . lots of ouchy falls on sidewalks or driveways. We were lucky, though—we had slate sidewalks in our neighborhood, which were great for smooth skating if our skates stayed on!

Does Rover have a key? (“I’ve got a brand new pair of roller-skates; you’ve got a brand new key…”)

I remember waxing the floors in the early 60’s even had a polishing machine

Wow, he is really good.

AeroWax, that pink can, hands-n-knees, with a rag….my poor mother!

I remember my mom waxing the floor. We had to stay away fro it for a few hours.
