The peace sign is actually the death sign, but people never understood that. I actually prefer the Fifties those were great years. The USA was prosperous, crime was practically unknown and all neighbors knew each other and helped each other without being paid for the help.
I agree Yardley701. Although I had no idea about the death sign/peace sign thing. I was born in 1950 and I remember it well. It was a simpler time. There were illnesses like Polio that I remember, but you’re right about the neighbors helping neighbors and the general good feelings people had about the world and each other. People here in the US anyway. I’m sure it was terrible somewhere else, I just didn’t know about it.
