The important point is that the virus mutates as it spreads, so if there’s SOME country where it is continuing to spread rapidly, we’re ALL going to be dealing with the faster, uglier, more deadly variants.
That so many are stuck in anti-science, (especially anti-vaccine and anti-abortion fantasies and conspiracy theories, in a world that is consuming more than it can replenish,) is threatening to our very existence. Science — it’s not just an opinion — tells us that we’re overcrowded and the climate is rapidly changing … and no amount of denial or belief in delusional conspiracy theories will end the reduction of habitable land or end global pandemics. We need to work with, not against, science and medicine if we are to prosper.
