Too true. I felt the same way: if I was stuck home, I’d use it as a reason to get all the things done I’d been meaning to do – plus what I wanted to do! And 12 months later: my ‘to-do’ list is longer and I’ve gained 10 pounds. At least I’ve learned how to bake banana bread…
My husband and I have actually managed to get a few things done around the house while this whole, terrible situation has been going on over the last year:
.
1.) We built shelves for a wasted space located under a staircase in our kitchen and turned it into a second food-storage pantry.
2.) Built a ton of wall shelves for our basement storage room.
3.) Built a platform for our new Nectar mattress.
4.) Currently working on getting my new “indoor she-shed” (aka: bonus room over the garage) finished that will be my library / sewing room. I probably won’t get to use it as much as I’d like to with yard work season coming up, but if I can maybe find at least 30 minutes or so in the evenings, that will still make me VERY happy! ♥

Next up on the list: when my room gets done within the next couple of weeks and the garage is emptied out of all the boxes of books and sewing supplies that have been “living” there ever since we moved into our current house 3-1/2 years ago, we can finally build the work bench (and maybe some more wall shelves) out there to better-organize that place ….. which is something my husband has been wanting and waiting for us to find the time to do the entire time we’ve been here too! :-)
Yup—I can relate … especially to the writing part. I’ve been writing for fun for years, and the progress has been really slow since I’m busy and I have trouble making the story sound like I want it to. I’m determined to keep moving forward with writing, though.
