Clear and cool in Austin, Texas. We rode the Hill Country Flier yesterday! That’s an antique locomotive type train ride. Grandson loved it! We rode two hours to Burnet, did some shopping, ate lunch, and rode two hours back. And after we got back, the engineer let him visit the cabin! Now er’re going to visit the Bluebell Ice Cream factory in Brenham!
It got up to 65 yesterday, and will get up to 61 before the rain starts this afternoon. We have a cold front moving down from Alberta. Maybe the 85% precip might pan out to be something….
Corned beef and cabbage tonight. Should be ready around 7. I have a large one, so there’ll be enough for the whole village.
Off to church this morning with a fine message from James 3 & 4. Breakfast afterward with 5 friends. It was great!
Michael is outside at the moment taking Smokey for a walk and Sting is sitting inside crying at the back door. He wants to go toooooooo.
I did get more photos scanned yesterday. I ran into a problem, though. It was a photo of a really cute baby boy (assumed – he’s wearing blue) with nothing written on the back. I have no idea who he is. He doesn’t look anything like the kids I do know, and the photo was hanging in my dad’s old office so he’s special to Dad anyway. I asked my brother but he doesn’t know either. I guess I’ll try my nephews next.
I also got the rest of the photos sorted out. Most of them will require a quick look at what I already have before scanning them, but my dad apparently took a lot of pics from one of his mom’s albums and there are no captions on them. I scanned the old album pages last go-round so I will try to match the photos with those old captions. Fun.
We’re supposed to get close to 80 today, but it’s only 72 right now (noon-thirty) so we’ll see.
I enjoyed a pleasant morning at church today. I always enjoy our discussions of the Sunday School lesson. As the youngest, I’m 68, I learn so much from my wonderful classmates. They truly are a blessing.
We are enjoying a pleasant day weather wise. The day started at 43 and it is now 59, sunny with a slight breeze. Not much more is going on today, just a pleasant Sunday afternoon.

Hi there Vagabonds
Another chilly morning with a temp of 39 going on up to 57 with clouds.
The normal Sunday coming up, inspirational message from our sky pilot, a good meal and a lazy afternoon.
May you all be inspired on the Sabbath day and may God bless.
