My parents don’t really use ketchup much… but they have some. I was at their place once and pulled it out of the cupboard… seemed old, but it didn’t have a “best before” date. I looked more carefully and found a coupon that was attached to the label. The coupon had been expired for over 6 years.

People who use the ketchup fairly quickly can keep it at room temperature. Those of us who only use a few tablespoons a week need to refrigerate it.
