While there are still many staunch defenders of Jim for his art work/story telling the way he has handled Skeezix centennial was disappointing to say the least . How would you observe the 100th birthday of your parent or grandparent? You’d celebrate with a party even if on a limited scale due to the pandemic. There was no feeling of a special celebration to a character that has been much beloved by so many loyal readers. It could have been just an ordinary annual event as coming from the mouth of Nina who couldn’t even say the word “hundreth” in yesterday’s strip a visiting alien from Mars wouldn’t know it. I’m making good my promise and end following this strip until a new artist takes over GA. Adieu.
