Suddenly remembering the time my dad helped my little sister and me make a snowman. A BIG snowman, with us kids trying to outdo the neighbor kids down the street. It was rare for us to get that much snow in Maryland. He got us a wide wooden plank and helped us roll that head way up there—not as tall as him but to my eyes it was close. Best snowman ever, celebrated with hot chocolate inside (and my mom wasn’t into chocolate even though we kids were, so it was a rare and memorable treat.) Dad passed a year ago at 93, Mom’s a widow at 90, my kids grew up where the last measurable snow was in 1964 (sorry kids) so they never got to do this with their daddy—but he would have, he’s a good one, too—and this strip brought a few unexpected tears. Thank you thank you thank you.

It’s worth it to change your clothes to have fun. Wives remember that when your husbands gets frisky…..
