I got in touch with an old girlfriend through Facebook yesterday. I met her in 1970 in Vancouver, BC when I was going to art school and we became pen pals. She lived in Orlando and I here in WA. I used to spend my winters in the Florida Keys and I visited her 3 times before 1974. Either she had a boyfriend or I a girlfriend, but we always connected as if time had not passed. She always remained in my mind.in January her son talked her into joining Facebook. Over time we had lost touch. Before I met LilG I searched online for her in the Orlando area with no luck. The day before yesterday I searched on Facebook and a woman with her name came up and after over 40 years her picture looked very much like my old friend. I sent her a message. It was her and we talked for about an hour and it was still as if no time had passed. So Dry Facebook has some redeeming factors. I have reconnected with an old friend with a chance to reclaim our friendship
