I see that tie waving around. Makes me think of Isadora Duncan… she died when her long scarf (for which she was known) became entangled in the wheels and axle of the car in which she was traveling. Spinning wheels. Spinning blades.

I seem to recall that “enemies” is mentioned in the Constitution as “enemies foreign and domestic”.

I find myself wondering for that reason if the individuals who stole classified data during the attempted coup can be charged with espionage, too. Certainly, if domestic ISIS members had done this such charges would occur if at all possible, as well they should.

As to the elected officials involved:

    QUOTE

    Section 3.

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

    END QUOTE

“The silence of good people is more dangerous than the brutality of bad people.” Martin Luther King

“We’re supposed to be horrified by the protesters. There’s a lot of people out there calling for the end of violence…I am glad Sam Adams, Thomas Paine, the actual Tea Party guys, the men at Lexington and Concord, didn’t feel that way.”— Rush Limbaugh on storming of U.S. Capitol

“Only later did it become clear that lawmakers feared for their lives; that some of the attackers were hunting for congressional leaders; that there could have been a massacre.”— from CNN report

Is this supposed to reference the flight from Viet Nam?
