One part of that really rings true – the last time I bought a dryer, they charged separately for the cord. Could not believe it. Selling an electronic device with no cord??
I bought a new dryer a few months ago from a locally owned appliance/furniture store which has been in business over 60 years. The dryer was $448, had free delivery/set-up, and they hauled off the old one at no charge.

Don’t need a new hose or coupling and the cord is already attached and included. And since when is the sales tax federal?
