Reminds me of an idea I recently saw, although it doesn’t apply to a shopping center.

When going to a place, such as a stadium, theater, or place of worship where an event will begin at a specific time, healthy people who arrive earliest should take the parking spaces farther from the entrance. This would be polite to those who arrive later. With our current practice of early arrivals parking close to the entrance, late arrivals have to take more time to walk farther when they have less time before the event begins.

If the late arrivals are parents and children, giving them a place to park closer to the entrance is safer for them.

About six months ago we got worried about the state of beef processing and contamination, so we decided to buy half a side of beef from a local farmer. We already had a freezer, but I thought we may need a bigger one. It’s a good thing we didn’t, because you can’t hardly find one to buy. Slim’s not joking when he says they may be out.
