I can relate, and you probably can also. I seem to remember you submitting to getting a bath and all spiffed up to impress a certain very cute poodle. Did that include a teeth cleaning? Girls like a man with sweet smelling breath, you know. Something to keep in mind.

Well Fred you wouldn’t like me very much on this issue. As I LOVE the dentist…..hate doctors. I miss not going to see my dentists. I am overdue with my yearly visit. But most dentists offices are closed due to the virus.

This reminds me of a “Red and Rover” strip in which Rover had an appointment with his vet. Red can read Rover’s thought balloons as we readers can and Rover told him “I like the vet. I like the staff. What I don’t like is the waiting room.”

I have this feeling most when I give blood. I know that giving blood is very important but I don’t like the waiting.

Dentists are doctors. Are you an anti-Dentite? (Seinfeld).

A trip to the dentist is best when it happens in the past. So put it in the past as quickly as possible.

I avoid the dentist as much as possible, fortunately I have pretty good teeth. My only real problem are from teeth that got filled 4+ decades ago now having pieces breaking off around the old fillings (and now requiring crowns), plus the only cavities I ever (rarely) get anymore are under old fillings.

I read somewhere that teenagers get way more cavities than little kids or adults. I don’t know if that would be from lifestyle or changed metabolism or what, but certainly in my case it was very true.

I think most people are afraid of, or at least avoid, the dentist because of bad / uncomfortable experiences as children. It didn’t help when it was a really big man all in white scolding you for not brushing, or eating too much sugar. And this was something our parents made us go through like once every 6 months (and more if we had to go back in for fillings)!

Remember what Willie Wonka had to put up with from his dentist father?

Personally, I’d much rather go to the MD than the DDS, even when the former involves unpleasant exams and screenings!
