NORAD tracks a staggering amount of space junk. At some point we’ll have to create a means to cleaning up the solar system. Maybe a huge vacuum? A true vacuum cleaner.
Planet Earth needs to stop spending billions looking for other planets, sending people into space to further pollute the outer reaches and instead, spend more time and money fixing the home we already have. How many homeless people have been helped by man going into space? How many hungry people? How many refugees resettled by space exploration? This planet is heating up, the ice caps are melting, we are subject to diseases and viruses and space exploration benefits us common folk and the down trodden, how, exactly?
have two vertical satellites 1/2 mile in hight with a fine net strung between them say 10 miles .. think tennis course …both poles would be autonomous netting fine enough to snare anything the size of a pencil eraser …..which by itself, could punch a hole in one side and out the other given the correct trajectory and speed
