    Socialism using our tax dollars for things we need its beyond crazy how people look at it like its a bad thing that we benefit from our own taxes we pay each paycheck.

    I consider that socialism is a philosophy that seems to offer a a fair chance everyone. It does not mean taking from those who have made an effort to give to those who have made none. It is a branch of the old saw – _Give a person a fish and you give food for a day [and an excuse for another visit], But teach the person to fish and you have taught him a survival skill and a trade [and maybe made a friend]

    OK OK that’s not the original form but it is the point.

    Assuming he’s talking about true socialism as opposed to a free market system with social programs, in order to live like a capitalist he’ll have to be a high-ranking member of the bureaucracy or an elected or party appointed official. The rest of us will be relatively equal in our poverty and misery.
