The municipality said it was the first arrest for voter fraud in 30 years. And after all Trump’s whining about voter fraud, this rare criminal violation was committed by one of his followers. Shocking.
This, plus armed “security” claiming to be hired by Trump at polls in FL, fake republican-placed ballot boxes in CA, and there was the whole pre-election mail sorting removal fiasco. The election tampering cries were 100% republican projection of what they fully planned on doing themselves.
I don’t know if this scam is still viable, but I’m sure that won’t stop America’s foremost vote suppressors from trying it:
“Due to possible overcrowding, long lines, and the need to maintain social distancing during the pandemic, for this election the city clerk has ordered that Republicans will cast their ballots on Tue. Nov. 3, and Democrats will vote on Wed. Nov. 4.”
Yes, this has been tried in the past (not by actual city clerks, of course) and had some marginal effect on turnout. But marginal effect is all that would be needed in a swing state.
