    Morning, Village!

I’m reading another book, “Desert Honkytonk, the History of Tombstone’s Bird Cage Theater,” by Roger A. Bruns. It’s very interesting.

    Good Saturday Vagabonds

Still wet, currently 37, High 44, Rain early, sun late in the day. If you don’t like VT weather, wait a minuet.

The mute button on the remote is going to be nothing but a nub by election day. I am constantly pushing the mute for political adds mostly the negative adds which seem to be mostly Democratic candidates. I’m getting political here, I’m going to drop this potato, now.

A week away from Halloween, won’t be a lot of festivities this year. In my life time I can only remember one trick or treater coming to the door. Most trick or treating goes on in the village, that’s where I did mine. BOO!

We’ll make way for the stove soon and then wait till Monday to have it hooked up. It’s always sump’n.

Have yourselves a wonerful day, and may God walk with you.

    Good Snowy morning, Vagabonds,

We woke up to this funky white stuff all over everything! I think they have a name for it. It begins with an ‘S’. I guess I’ll have to get my exercise indoors today. Yesterday’s walk was such a delight.

Jack is getting ready to shovel the concrete pad outside the garage. The snow is quite wet, so the leaf blower won’t work. He brought in and prepared a whole bunch of logs the last few days. The garage is full and should last for a week or so.

    Stay warm. xoxo

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

I found it! I found it! We have a fireproof safe that was at the storage unit. We brought it home to look for the key which we found last night. Yup. The trust book was in the safe. I plan to scan the whole thing and keep that in a flash drive.

The reason we were looking for it in the first place was that I was putting together a package of paperwork in case of emergency or one of us has to be hospitalized. Our advance directives and medical power of attorney are part of the trust document, all witnessed, notarized and everything. I have been meaning to do this for years, and finally got the bug to just do it a couple of days ago. Copies of DL’s, Health & Medicare cards, lists of current meds, ID card from the funeral home and the medical stuff are all now in carefully labeled envelopes. We will have to update the DL’s and health cards periodically, but that will be easier than trying to put it all together in an emergency situation.

Let’s see. Today I am going to get my nails done and then we are going back to the furniture store to buy the chest of drawers that matches our new dresser. Then we will stop at the market to get a jug of milk. Busier than most days…..

Yesterday got up to 87 which is the lowest “high” so far this fall. The trend is back up into the low 90’s for about a week and then back to mid 80’s or lower. The nights are getting chillier, too. Low 60’s and high 50’s for the most part. AQI is still in the green.

Everyone be safe and have a blessed day.

    Good evening, Vagabonds.

I spent the day in my problem room going through old paperwork and destroying most of it. While I was working I watched “The Tingler” with Vincent Price and “His Girl Friday” with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell. Good movies make the work go faster.

We had a nice, but windy day with our high around 72. It should repeat tomorrow. Everyone have a wonderful evening.
