    Stickin’ a hook through ‘em generally takes care of that ‘dead’ part.

    Although this certainly would make for a more ‘lively’ lure. Maybe ask the bug to hold on tight to the hook?

    It’s really hard to tie the living flies on. I commend the guy with live bait.

    Feeding the little buggers to keep them alive in your tackle box without getting poked by a hook is quite the challenge.

    Tying flies is very Zen. Think like a fish & make something that looks like breakfast. Granddaddy’s artistry was unmatched. He could pull a 2 foot trout from from a 1 foot stream.
