Gorrell’s definitely in denial. NOOOO!!! Can’t give Obama any god press. He’s Evil incarnate. He’s the antichrist. Obama couldn’t have done anything worthy. NOOOO!!!
It’s amazing how many folks, including cartoonists, slept through the Reagan/Bush/Bush economic debacle. Hmm, it was about like their wars, endless declines overall, but lots of profit for their friends, while everyone else “ate it”.
Let’s be fair. Obama did not kill the economy. He inherited a bad situation and made it worse.
News flash to Bawbwa and Joy – the next election will be about the economy. I can understand why the liberals would like to hold the election tomorrow. I doubt the execution of bin Laden will affect the unemployment rate.
Yeah, all those millions of jobs lost, the Dow falling precipitously, the deficit tripling - whoever’s President four years after that happens is responsible for killing the economy.
0bama has been on the warpath against capitalism, ergo private economy, his entire adult life, product of which war we are now realizing … .
Check the new claims for unemployment …
Incidentally, our large companies are prospering in large part because the world outside of the US, the one that refused 0bama’s calls for more ‘governmental investments’ are booming …
petergrt, what planet do you live on? I live on Earth, myself. Obama helped bail out several industries, handed healthcare “reform” over to the insurance industry that crippled it - if this is how he is on the “warpath against capitalism,” I’d hate to see him promoting it! Man, he’d make the robber barons look like fuzzy kittens!
Timeweaver’s correct. Check last month’s numbers but either way you slice it its better than the numbers back in 2006 where we started to hemmorrhaging jobs by the half a million.

I stand corrected:
True capitalism is defined by a government apparatchik choosing winners and losers …!!!

From CNBC:
“The labor participation rate for April, in fact, stood unchanged at 64.2 percent.
Ditto for the actual amount of people out of work, which also was unchanged at 13.7 million.
Another measure of unemployment rose as well: the so-called “real” unemployment rate, which rose to 15.9 percent, up two-tenths from the prior month.”
