I have a nephew who lived right across the street from his high school. A two minute walk. He set a school record for showing up late in the morning. Had to attend summer school. Everyone tried talking some sense into him, to no avail.
You wamted to show them they were unimportant in a very obvious way, and you are succeeding. Why cry? Alligator tears from a horse?
