I’m an adult and I have a right to know the truth and panic if I so choose to do so. Suppose a woman in late January had panicked. What would she do? Maybe put off going to the store where she caught the Trump Plague- put off going to a party that night and church on Sunday where she passed along the plague to people there who passed it on to others who did the same and etc etc etc. Trump lied to us to protect his ratings. He had cut the pandemic response team that Obama set up in 2014 out of the budget in 2018, and now we were going to see the results. The only person he lied to protect was Donald J Trump.
I have no doubt at all that Li’l Donnie talked to his current brain (Stephen Miller, who is not to be confused with his former brain, Steve Bannon, nor Li’l Donnie’s owner, Vlad Putin) in and around and in between talking to Bob Woodward. This explains some—but perhaps, not MUCH?
Donnie John has been caught in yet ANOTHER lie and his “excuse” of not wanting to panic people truly does not hold water! The “truth” is that he had no plan other than the well thought out, ultimately workable plan left by his predecessor, Obama.
Trump couldn’t, of course use THAT plan because it was the product of the hated "Obama/Biden Administration and so couldn’t be used because it had been formulated, approved AND tainted by the hated Black “Other”!

He didn’t say he didn’t want to panic people. What he didn’t want was
1. a Wall Street panic (resulting in mega-donor disapproval) and
2. voter disapproval.
