    Good morning Vagabonds

Here we are smack dab in the middle of the week. For this day the weather folks say mixed sun and clouds high 69.

Try as I might I can’t think of a thing going on today. I should walk more, but the terrain makes me put it off. I have my choice, down hill from the house but then I have to return home up hill. So I start up hill so when I turn around gravity helps me get back home and I’m kinda rested by the time I get back.

Ghost is haunting me looking for his morning meal. Patches is about somewhere and will be right here when I dish out the chow. Trixie was my Grandparents cat, she could be sleeping somewhere up stairs and my grandmother could be oh so quiet taking ice cream out of the freezer, it would be like Scotty had beamed her in because she’d be right there waiting for her share. Love cats. (^.^)

May you all have beautiful day and may God bless you and keep you.

    Good Not-So-Smokey morning, Vagabonds,

My avatar was sunset and the darkest we’ve ever had! The Unhealthy air was sitting at 196 when the picture was taken. Then a wind finally kicked up last night, and the ‘Moderate’ air was down to 63 this morning! What a difference! Too bad it’s 45 degrees, or else I’d open everything up. Our Palmdale daughter put us on to the web page: www.airnow.gov

We have a bunch of errands to run today. The last will be Costco for all kinds of fresh veggies and fruit. It seems that we only go there once a month now.

    Stay healthy. xoxo Happy Trails

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Michael’s second surgery was this morning, and he came through it better than the first one. At least he didn’t have a panic attack this time and so was not given the second “loopy” drug. He’s just tired and is resting on the “tilt a bed” in our darkened bedroom.

In other good news, I stopped by Mike’s place of work and not only are they open, but they have already spoken to him and his job is waiting for him. He has tried to call me two days in a row now. Yesterday I was at church and today I was at the surgery center. I hope he tries again soon.

Man did I get mixed up the other day about Chris, though. All these years I remembered his birthday as 9/23. After all this time, I discovered that he celebrates it on the 14th. I don’t know whether I’m remembering wrong or the Allisons decided to choose that day for some reason. Probably the former.

Yesterday only got up to 94 rather than the predicted 101, so things are looking up around here. It got down to 74 last night. We had to buy a new thermometer for the patio. It has a separate outdoor sensor which we hung up high on the patio in the shade and put the indoor readout inside the house (it also shows the indoor temp.) Funny thing is that when we first put batteries in them, we kept them side-by-side in the living room for about an hour and the two readings of the same temp were 2 degrees off. It is 100 outside at the moment, and since we don’t usually reach our peak temp until around 4 PM, it will probably get hotter.

Everyone be safe and have a blessed day.

    Good afternoon, Vagabonds.

It has been a quiet day here, laundry and light housework for me and now I have to decide what we will have for supper.

We have had another pretty day here. Our high was only 81 and it stayed sunny all day.

    Everyone have a great evening.
