Prediction punchline: Nate insulted Mrs Godfrey

This arc is kind of what happened to me. Once we had a sub and my friend was playing games and I was watching him. The sub took his computer away. Then my group asked me to write something on the computer. The moment I opened it the sub took mine away too. At the end of class, I asked nicely if he could give me my computer because I had a big essay we were doing in English. He said he won’t give it to me until after the weekend. He then went and brought it to the library. I tried explaining my case to the librarian but before I could the sub screamed, “go away!”. I told my friends about it then talked to my English teacher during recess. She said she would get it back for me. In class, she said I should ask the librarian to give it back. The librarian said I could have it back after writing an apology note to the sub. I had to talk to the counselor and finally get it back and I had to the whole thing for homework. That was my last day of school before the quarantine and my last day of school until likely college in the USA. Sorry for the long comment and writing something not 100% relevant.

What Nate said in the last panel is completely out of character for him. A more suitable quote in this scenario would be: “Yeah, it seems a little tame.”

I have a big nate story arc idea. It takes place during christmastime, and after a lot of convincing, nate finally gets a dog for Christmas. But it’s not the type of dog he had in mind. (i.e. he wanted a “real” dog like a siberian husky, but he gets a “feminine” dog like a yorkie.) At first he doesn’t like the dog, but after a while he bonds with it, and finds out that the cuteness of the pooch woos a lot of girls.

Add that to Nate’s cavalcade of nicknames!

I like today’s strip, it leaves me wondering what will happen tommorow. I wanna see Nate give the note to Mrs. Godfrey it will be super funny probably. :)

I feel like I’m getting déjà vu reading this arc.

Next week: Nate breathes without permission and has to serve two month of detention, all extracurricular activities revoked, community service, and has to write letters of apology to every single faculty and student in the school.
