In the 3 and 1/2 years, that Trump has been in office, world stability has decreased to a level that threatens US security. Iran and China have nuclear weapons, and without US and Russian influence to balance them, Iran has made the Middle East very unstable. Syria is descending further into chaos; Lebanon has just joined the shattered government status with the port explosion. Europe is slowly recovering from the Covid-19 virus. The International systems for relief and monitoring are in disarray because of the US abdication of leadership and active attempts at confusion. No one mentions the Doomsday Clock any more because it has ticked down to seconds to Midnight versus the usual MINUTES. Russia continues to benefit from Trump’s ignoring Putin’s expansionist plans. The world is in a mess, and there is no coherent strategy to correct it.
